Better than original
Fits perfectly. You might have to remove the rubber washer by the handle in order for it to fit through the hole but thats no problem. Flushes flawlessly. Great construction with metal, not plastic going through the flush rod to hold it in place . My original one was plastic and it broke.

Struggle installing
Took this 87 year old about 2 hours to install. The large rubber square is slightly larger than the tank hole in my Gerber toilet to put it in. Tried using the inside nut to pull it in but only could get almost 2 turns of the nut to get it in 1/2 way. Put some Vaseline on the 4sides and again use the nut to pull it in. Now about 3/4 or so. My other problem was hooking the chain to the handle arm. Hook was small but strong and ended up opening the hook with a small flat bladed screwdriver enough to slip over and into the hole on the arm. Arm was longer than the Gerber arm so I hooked the chain shortest distance hole. After all is said and it’s installed, it works great!

I found this at my doorstep today after a having a few at my boyfriend’s house. I needed this done so I made an attempt and I DID IT! its extremely simple to install, and I flushed it a couple times to make sure. Its GOOD! Note I had to bend it a tad to get it out of the way of a few other components of the tank, but it is quite bendable so I didn’t have any issues. Toilets are quite simple machines I’ve found… THIS IS GREAT! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY

completely satisfied
bought it for an older Toto lav. first tried a big box store and their generic model didn’t look as nice as the original; a little fussy I guess. so I went to a plumbing supply store and they had one that had the same handle as the original but with a slight bend in the arm. no big deal I figured so I said I’ll take it – until the guy was writing it up for over $30 (which he said was my discounted price). decided to pass. found this handle here for $6 and it looks identical to the original and works perfectly. only difference is that this one has a chromed plastic handle vs. a chromed cast zinc one that it’s replacing. who cares; for six bucks it’s a bargain. tip for anyone who might be buying one of these. at first I thought it didn’t fit thru the square hole on the side of the tank and that I’d have to return it. then noticed that it has a rubber bushing fitted to the square lug that goes thru the hole on the tank. if it doesn’t fit then just remove the bushing.

I was able to fit it in the hole only after removing the rubber gasket.

LASTED 5 YEARS
Ordered this product in October 2019 (for main bathroom). Handle broke November 6, 2024. It was easy to install which makes it even better!

I made it work
Didn’t fit my Gerber toilet, but I was able to use just the hard plastic white handle with the old inner part. Looks good!

The biggest problem with this handle is that the plastic handle is flimsy and probably won’t survive the stress of pulling the metal lever very long. I predict it will break within a month or two. My advice is splurge a bit more money and buy a metal handle/lever which will last a few years instead.Also the ad is somewhat misleading in that it shows the rod arm bent at 90 degrees. This is easily done, but it arrives with the rod straight out – not bent as it should be for a front handle.Despite this I gave a 3 star to be fair, given the cheap price (you get what you pay for).However, that was $11 dollars flushed down the toilet for me !!!!
