A Neccessary Evil
I purchased three of these about four years ago even though my wife hates toilet brushes in the bathroom. They are all still in their respected spots today. (A rare victory) What I dislike is cheap, open-faced brushes in the bathroom. These Umbra brushes are completely covered with no visible brush. The plastic is heavy and solid and the brush is a 360 degree bristle brush. The overall quality is very good. It is short which is good because it’ll hide behind the bowl but keep in mind that your hand will have to go below the rim to clean the bowl. This doesn’t bother me because I’ll be washing my hands afterwards whether the handle is twelve inches long or ten feet. Besides it has a guard like sword has so your hand is shielded a bit. Even if you don’t want a brush for all your bathrooms at least get one for the guest bathroom. Company will appreciate it especially if they are lactose intolerant.

Quality Vs Price
The quality of this item was not as expected for the price. It is a cheap piece of Chinese plastic for $25.00. Not worth the money

Not durable
I do not recommend buying this item. I have bought four (one for each bathroom) – the first one arrived broke – even though it was packaged very well. The second and third ones broke with minimal use – the bearest touch against the porcelain toilet and the top of the brush where attached to the handle came apart – that is – it broke – can not be put back on. This is the same damage as the first one that arrived already damaged. So, 3 out of 4 that I have purchased of this very item have been broken or broke within 5 light uses. The look of it is very nice – so it is disappointing in that the quality has been so poor.

A very colorful mildew magnet
I wanted to add some vibrant color to our 1950’s era bathroom (complete with pink commode and pink bathtub – we are renters and must just deal the with the design hands we are dealt). The red color is very pretty and rich, without being too bright. The brush itself does the job, though I wish both the handle and brush stick were a few inches longer. The brush bristles are pretty stiff, it would be nice if they were more flexible for under-the-rim cleaning. The plastic container is thick and has stood up to a few months of use without the exterior looking any worse for wear. However, because the container is somewhat air tight (and dark and damp), it is a veritable breeding ground for mildew, as I found out the hard way. The way to get around this is to either air/sterilize the brush and container in sunlight after each use (not practical in the winter) or spray a 10% bleach solution on the brush when you are finished. If you do this, you can get around the mildew issue. I would recommend this model if you are looking to add color to your bathroom (but cannot paint because you rent) and want a durable, nice looking, functional toilet brush.

Nice
Product arrived promptly and is very nice looking. The only negative I can find is that for me it’s a two-handed object. When I go to clean around the toilet I simply cannot pick it up with one hand to move it but rather have to bend over and use both hands. That means I lay down my cleaning clothe or set aside my vacumn or…… Wish the container was a bit more stream-lined.

This is a a good little brush
Let’s face it – a toilet brush is not intrinsically a very appealing item. Necessary? Yes. Appealing? No. That is, until I found this little gem. For the first time, I have found a brush that I don’t try to hide in the guest bath. It is very sturdy and well made, and the bristles on the brush are quite firm so it does a good job of scrubbing. It’s only shortcoming, if you could even call it that, is that the handle is a bit shorter than the kind you buy at the grocery or hardware store. But that’s really not a problem at all. I like that the lid is attached to the brush – it is quick to remove from the base and just as quick to put back. Planning to buy more of these for my other bathrooms and throw away the cheap ones I have.

broke after one month
I love this brand but one day for no apparent reason I walked into bathroom (my personal bathroom at work, no one else has access or could have touched it) and it had shattered. I keep toilet bowl cleaner in the vessel portion and it was a huge mess. Very odd. It came sturdy, good brush, thick, well made though.

Color not red
Love product but color is salmon not red. Will keep the product because I do have blended colors that will compliment it but really wanted red.

I had one of these toilet brushes and I ordered another one for the second bathroom. when I received it all seemed OK, so I trew away the box and return slip. I have since discovered that it has a hairline crack and is leaking.
